The New Zealand Breakers have signed two-time NBL champion Kouat Noi for the Hungry Jack’s NBL27 Season.

The versatile forward, who won the NBL25 Best Sixth Man award, joins the Breakers on a two-year deal, with the second being a mutual option.

“I am coming to Auckland to win,” Noi said.

“Look at the roster we are assembling - we are going to be the most entertaining team to watch."

Across his 182 NBL games with Cairns and Sydney (with whom he won two titles), the South Sudanese international has averaged 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 triples.

“Kouat is a proven winner who brings an incredible level of intensity and flair to the court,” Breakers President of Basketball Operations Dillon Boucher said.

“He has the ability to score the ball in multiple ways and is an elite offensive spark.”

Noi, who is a career 34.8 per cent from downtown, joins a Breakers squad that features Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Sam Mennenga, Dejan Vasiljevic, Reuben Te Rangi, Carlin Davison, Izayah Le’Afa and Preston Le Gassick for next season.

“Kouat’s championship mindset and team-first approach make him the exact type of player we want,” Breakers Chairman and Owner Marc Mitchell said.

“He is an athlete who leaves everything on the floor, and we know our fans are going to make him feel at home in New Zealand.”

Before arriving in New Zealand, Noi will play in Lebanon with Al Riyadi Club.
